After nearly a decade, Whyfield’s brand still had impact, but it was time for an evolution—one that captured their growth, ambition, and true personality.

Let’s get one thing straight, Whyfield isn’t your typical accountancy firm. We’ve been working with them for almost a decade now, and they’ve become such wonderful, long-term clients. We’ve loved every minute of it and have so much respect for how they operate. Back in 2015, they were a small ambitious team of three. Fast forward to today, they’ve grown into a team of 22, still wildly ambitious, and in our opinion are complete mavericks in what can often feel like the extremely beigey-beige conventional world of accountancy.

Originally when we first began working together, our goal was to help the business feel established, bold, and professional, and whilst the original brand was still doing the job, it did feel like the right time for a refresh. The Whyfield team has grown, evolved, they’ve stayed ahead of the curve. It was time for the brand to reflect that. The task? A full glow-up, bringing the brand to where it needed to be without losing any of the magic we’d created with them first time round.

Everything kicked off with our ‘Finding Your Muse’ workshop, an engaging discovery allowing us to dive deep into the heart of what inspires and drives Whyfield. This session was crucial for uncovering the core muses behind their business—the key influences shaping their voice and the unique ways they connect with their audience. It gave us the perfect foundation for the brand refresh, ensuring everything we created aligned with Whyfield’s values, vision for the future, and who the brand was speaking to in a personal and authentic way.

With the strategy in place, it was time to focus on the visuals. We made subtle but impactful updates throughout: refreshing the colour palette to better reflect their vibrant, compassionate energy and ambitious team; a new type system was introduced bringing clarity and a modern, stylish touch; we also refined Whyfield’s communication, ensuring their tone of voice and messaging remained as strong, relevant, and deeply connected to their audience.

The ‘Finding Your Muse’ session was a game-changer. It really helped us focus on who our clients are and why they connect with us. It was informative, fun, and gave us real clarity on how to better understand our clients.

The Whyfield team wanted more than a brand update—they wanted an environment where clients wouldn’t want to leave. Now that’s what we call a maverick brief!

Next, we turned our attention to the photography, commissioning fresh, lifestyle-focused photography that captured the team’s personality and warmth—moving away from the more corporate look and into something that felt authentic and truly reflective of who they are now. One of the most exciting parts of the project was the transformation of their office space.

The brief? Create an environment so welcoming that clients would look forward to visiting and never want to leave. Not your typical accountancy firm, right? The result is a beautifully stylish space that exudes a level of sophistication and elegance most wouldn’t expect from an accountancy office—perfectly reflecting Whyfield’s maverick spirit.

Whyfield’s glow-up wasn’t just about freshening up their look—it was about aligning their entire brand with where they are now and where they’re headed. After a decade of collaboration, we remain in awe of Whyfield’s approach to business and the strength of their internal team. Their journey is far from over, and we’re excited to see where they go next. With so much more to come, we’ll be cheering them on every step of the way!

We didn’t just refresh the Whyfield brand, we helped align it with their future.

Working with Friends has been more beneficial to our business than we could have imagined. Our client base has grown exponentially, and over the past decade, they’ve consistently exceeded our expectations on every project. This latest brand glow-up is just another example of their creativity and commitment to helping us evolve.
